1. Ultracet (Tramadol+acetaminophen)

Side effect: nausea and vomiting, dizzy . abd pain 

max: 8 tabs/day 

** for renal imaired patient: max 2 tabs/2 hrs

(no longer than 5 hrs)

2. Tramadol 

react with opioid receptor for analgesic & sedation 

max: 400mg/day 

side effect: risk of addiction, respriratory depression, N&V, cardiac arrest 

**Nursing action: monitor respiratory pattern **

3. Pethidine 

analgesic for severe pain/ acute/ pre-op/ post-op

PO, Inj(IM, IV)

max:400mg/day 

Side effect: N&V, dizzy, sedative

**Nursing action: monitor respiratory pattern**'

4. Targin

analgesic for severe pain

Initial 80mg/day

max: 400mg/day 

side effect: headache, dizzy, loss of appeite
